Wow! What a night – Ferret Racing to success

Wow! What a night – Ferret Racing to success

On Friday (21st September) we held our Annual SA dinner to celebrate South Africa’s public Holiday, Heritage Day, and to raise funds for our projects in Africa. It was a brilliant evening. We had 65 guests, a sit down meal including Boerewors, Pape, Chakalaka and Biltong, great company and the added attraction of Ferrets 2000 and their team of racing ferrets.  We had 5 races in total and the generosity of our guests only added to the party atmosphere.  We are proud to have raised over £1, 200 but most of all we are proud to have put some fun back into fundraising.

However, none on the above would have been possible without all of the help and support we received prior to and on the night of the dinner and we extend a massive thank you to all those people.

We are ready for next year and have plans to make it bigger and better.

A speaker from GAGA spoke to 50 members of Bulkington WI last night about the work we are involved in at some of our projects in South Africa and Sierra Leone.
As a result of the presentation the WI and it's members donated £114.50 towards the work of GAGA - thank you all for the support.
