Holiday

Holiday

Due to a few days’ illness and Charlie going off on holiday until the 7th October, we will not be able to update our news. We will be back to normal on Monday the 7th October. However, there will still be lots going on behind the scenes and all our work will continue.

Thanks for your understanding.

Great wine, great company and Launch of The Remembering Tree

Great wine, great company and Launch of The Remembering Tree

On Friday 6th September we had a wonderful gathering at the Dirty Duck, Stratford on Avon, Which took the form of a South African wine tasting by James of Vin Neuf, Stratford on Avon and we then launched our new campaign – The Remembering Tree.

We saw lots of new faces in the crowd and some old GAGA faithfuls. We were joined by The Mayor of Stratford and her consort, representatives from the Stratford Herald and all of GAGA’s trustees and even a couple of our wonderful GAGA Ambassadors who travelled all the way from Ipswich.

We have to say a huge thank you to Sam the Landlord of the Dirty Duck and Emma the Manageress for helping and supporting such a great event. The Dirty Duck even sold South African beverages and donated the money to us. Although the main purpose of the evening wasn’t just to raise funds, we are delighted to have raised over £700.

Now the hard work starts with The Remembering Tree. You can learn more about that here.

Another great reception for Charlie

Another great reception for Charlie

Charlie gave another rousing talk on GAGA’s work to Henley-in-Arden WI last week. The ladies were very interested in the ‘Gogo Luncheon club’ at Sithembakuye, and with the speaker fee and a couple of private donations over £150 was raised from the talk.
