Our Mission

Generating growth for African children and communities devastated by HIV-AIDS and poverty, through the goodwill of people in the UK and elsewhere

Our Vision And Approach

our-work-small

Goodwill & Growth for Africa UK (GAGA) – funding,  working with and forging relationships with organisations which aim to alleviate the effects of poverty, disease (HIV/AIDS) and violence on African children and the greater communities that they live in. We aim to encourage sustainable growth reflecting the ethos of ‘hands-up’’ rather than ‘hand-outs’.

Africa is facing some huge challenges, in particular the HIV/AIDS pandemic and areas extreme poverty. It’s a continent of great diversity, rich in culture and heritage but torn apart by issues such as diseases which have been eradicated in the west, great divisions between the rich and poor and the problem of trying to solve this. Poverty strikes at the heart of thousands of communities, affecting health, education, stability and growth.

We believe in forging strong relationships with our partner organisations, and no matter the size of the organisation, we expect and ensure complete accountability, credibility and transparency. We take a pragmatic and flexible approach to our work and ensure that donors/supporters are always aware of what their contributions are achieving. By the same token we strongly and wholeheartedly believe in empowering the communities, organisations and individuals that we work with to create a sustainable future.
