Are you wanting to swim through winter for the first time?

Here's a chance to "test the water" and  complete the 45 minute introduction to winter swimming course before you commit to a Winter Swimming course or just to "try it once" - there's no obligation!

This is a double challenge... we'd like you to join in the GAGA Dip and also aim to fundraise at least the equivalent cost of the course for GAGA UK.  How much would your friends give to see you swimming in freezing February water?? There will be a fabulous prize for the top fundraiser on the day!

So what do you get for joining in?

1) A 45 minute education session which includes the following:

  • Safety briefing
  • Preparation for the swim
  • What will my swim feel like?
  • How to enter cold water safely and acclimatise
  • Signs it is time to get out
  • What is after drop?
  • What is a bad recovery?
  • How to warm up properly afterwards
  • Rewarm
  • Debrief and hot drinks

The course includes a swim in the lake.

2) A warm and fuzzy feeling knowing that your challenge could help to support child health and education for orphaned and vulnerable children in Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa.
