It was a very cold start at 7 am on Sunday morning, 24th April.  Stratford upon Avon town centre was quiet, but a sense of anticipation ran through the cold north-easterly breeze and early bird runners and marshalling volunteers started to arrive.

The GAGA volunteer team, looking fab in their GAGA branded hi-viz tabards joined the Start Marshals and proceeded to lay out cones on Wood Street ready to corral the eager runners to the start line. We're so grateful to everyone who gives their time to volunteer for GAGA UK.  Being involved in events like the Shakespeare Rotary Marathon and Half Marathon not only adds to our fundraising income but also gives us an opportunity to raise awareness for the charity in our local community and gain additional support for the work we do supporting grassroots projects in deprived areas of southern Africa.

Many thanks to all our volunteers who support our small charity in so many ways.  If you'd like to be on the GAGA Volunteer list, please complete the Volunteer form and we'll be in touch!
