GAGA welcomes Claire!

Happy New Year!

As mentioned in our December newsletter, Sarah is moving on to pastures new later this month.  She goes with our very best wishes and gratitude for all she has contributed to GAGA and our wonderful projects.  We are delighted to welcome Claire as our new Director, she has been associated with GAGA for a few years, here's a little more in her own words!

I am thrilled to be appointed as GAGA UK's new Director.  GAGA has impressed me since I first started to volunteer and fundraise for them a few years ago and I look forward to using my professional skills and voluntary experience to build on the strong foundations laid by Sarah and her predecessor Charlie.

I first set foot on African soil 50 years age (it was a small foot then!) when my family emigrated from the Isle of Wight to Zambia where my father worked as an engineer.  My first day at school was in Ndola, Zambia and my childhood memories are filled with the sights, sounds and smells of Africa.  You can read more here.
