  1. Get involved

Raise £'s as you shop online

Most of us make some of our purchases online these days, both personally and in the course of doing business.  This is increasingly becoming a great way to raise money for a charity, at no cost to yourself!

GAGA UK have joined up with three shopping portals, give as you live, easy fundraising, and amazon smile. If you are shopping online and you start your retailer or item search within one of these portals, then the retailer who finally gets your business will be the one who makes the contribution to GAGA UK in the end.  You don’t pay any more for your items and with each of these having several thousand online stores available, you don’t loose out on choice either.

Here’s how

Give as you Live

search for Give as you Live

smart phone tablet icon  Sign Up

choose Goodwill and Growth for Africa as your charity and enter your details

magnifying glass icon Browse

they have over 4,400 stores involved

 online basket icon  Shop

Visit the store via the Give as you Live website or app and then shop as normal

money icon  Raise

Give as you Live will make a free donation to Goodwill and Growth for Africa once you have completed your purchase!

So, where does the donation come from?

Give as you Live have partnered with over 4,400 stores as well as dozens of providers across the insurance, energy and broadband sectors. When you visit these retailers via Give as you Live online and make a purchase, they give them a reward as a thank you.  Our donation comes out of that reward.  So you are not paying any extra for your purchase and we are still benefiting!

Easy Fundraising

follow this link to easyfundraising

Search for "Goodwill and Growth for Africa"

find icon Find the retailer you want to shop with & click on their icon

shop as normal in the retailer's website

easy fundraising will send on the money raised by you and other supporters!

How easyfundraising helps you raise free donations

When you use easyfundraising to shop with any of their 4,000 retailers, the retailer makes a small donation to say thank you and they send those free funds to your cause. You're not paying a penny extra!

You shop. Amazon gives.

Amazon donates 0.5% of the net purchase price (excluding VAT, returns and shipping fees) of eligible purchases to the charitable organisation of your choice.

AmazonSmile is the same Amazon you know. Same products, same prices, same service.

Support Goodwill and Growth for Africa by starting your shopping at smile.amazon.co.uk

Step 1: In your internet browser go to  smile.amazon.com and log in using your Amazon credentials or open a new account

Step 2: After signing in, you will be directed to the opening page.

Step 3: Under the heading “Or pick your own charitable organization” enter “Goodwill and Growth for Africa” then click “Search”

Step 4: From the list of charity options, select “Goodwill and Growth for Africa”

Step 5: You will be redirected to the page below. Check the box next to “Yes” and then click “Start Shopping”

Step 6: You will be redirected to Amazon’s homepage that adds a disclaimer about how to add Amazon Smile to your toolbar, should you want to add a particular bookmark for it.

office person

This is a great way to support us if you are responsible for buying stationery and other items for your workplace and you usually use Amazon for those purchases anyway.  Of course, you can also use this for any personal purchases through Amazon.

All of these online shopping portals provide a way to increase charitable giving at no cost and little effort to yourself.  Whilst it may only be pennies at a time, if enough of our supporters use these portals we could really benefit and use those pennies to really make a difference and change lives.

    Winter GAGAzette

Welcome to the somewhat delayed final newsletter of 2020, as many of you will know I had to take a leave of absence due to family commitments and bereavement, so for me December 2020 and January 2021 have been personally challenging.  As such a small charity, this means that some of our regular tasks had to be delayed but rest assured the essential ones of managing your generous donations and importantly, supporting and funding our beneficiary projects continued quietly throughout the period.

  • KYGN Tumaini Foundation Primary resources

Kilimanjaro Young Girls in Need exists to support the education of primary aged children and provide a safe house for vulnerable girls at the Tumaini Foundation Primary School in Tanzania. The school is working hard towards being sustainable but the double impact of the Coronavirus pandemic and loss of a major donor is making 2021 very challenging.
