    Winter GAGAzette

Welcome to the somewhat delayed final newsletter of 2020, as many of you will know I had to take a leave of absence due to family commitments and bereavement, so for me December 2020 and January 2021 have been personally challenging.  As such a small charity, this means that some of our regular tasks had to be delayed but rest assured the essential ones of managing your generous donations and importantly, supporting and funding our beneficiary projects continued quietly throughout the period.

  • KYGN Tumaini Foundation Primary resources

Kilimanjaro Young Girls in Need exists to support the education of primary aged children and provide a safe house for vulnerable girls at the Tumaini Foundation Primary School in Tanzania. The school is working hard towards being sustainable but the double impact of the Coronavirus pandemic and loss of a major donor is making 2021 very challenging.

    Merry Christmas 2020

We'd like to wish all of our donors and supporters a very happy Christmas and thank you for your loyal and generous support in 2020. Due to urgent family commitments, Claire has had to take a compassionate leave of absence and therefore our usual Christmas communication will be delayed until January.

Build a One Room House for Zanele

Zanele Sithole is 48 years old and she lives in Swayimane in Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa with her five children and one granddaughter. Two children are in school, the eldest daughter is Zanele's carer and the other two are currently unemployed. Zanele suffers from Dementia resulting from a stroke she suffered in 2010. Their current home does not provide adequate shelter and this appeal is put forward to build one liveable room from which this family can start to rebuild their lives.
