Happy International Women's Day from all of us here at GAGA UK!

To mark this special occasion, we’d like to shine a spotlight on one of our amazing and inspirational beneficiaries, Bongiwe. Bongiwe is 26 years old and she’s from KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. When she finished high school in 2015, she was eager to further her studies and go to college, so she applied for a bursary as she didn’t have the means to finance her studies by herself. Sadly there was no response from the national bursary service, and after years of waiting, she approached GAGA UK to help her finance her studies.

She studied at a college in Durban for a diploma in PC Network Engineering, which took her three years to complete. Upon completion, she worked with the GAGA UK alumni programme and landed herself a coveted internship working with data capturing. She’ll take part in her graduation ceremony later this month, and we’re all so incredibly proud of her! Well done Bongiwe, and happy International Women’s Day to all!

Bongiwe says: “I am truly grateful to GAGA for believing in my dreams and helping me make them a reality.”
